01. About Me

My affinity with horses and learning to ride started at the young age of 5. As I got older and more competent, I worked with horses during the summer months and weekends at a sales barn. It was during this time as a teen that I acquired the knowledge of breaking in and training young horses.

I went to University College Dublin, Ireland and earned a bachelors degree in equine science. It was in my first year of college that I was eager to progress my skills and training in the eventing world. I started my eventing journey at Ardeo Sport Horses, a sales and competition barn owned by Neil and Melanie Wrynn. I began as their working student and later transitioned into their barn and marketing manager. It was here that I truly learned how to train and ride sport horses and how to run and market a barn of that caliber. It is because of them that I gained the foundation for the horse woman I am today.

I spent some time as a working student for Olympic event rider William Fox Pitt in Dorset, England. During my time there I learned a lot about the training regimes and fitness programs for 5 star event horses as well as keeping these equine athletes in peak condition and prepping them for international events.

In 2018 I emigrated to the United States and trained and competed young event horses with a lot of success in Ocala, Florida. I gained invaluable knowledge and insight about the event circuit stateside while working here.

Since then I have been working at Montverde Academy’s equestrian program as a coach. We have a junior varsity and varsity equestrian team that have been competing very successfully in the eventing, hunter and jumper scenes. I love imparting knowledge, helping my students grow and most of all watching them have fun while achieving their goals.
